Cody’s Baptism

👥 On Thursday 18 June 2026, Cody was baptised in St Petroc’s Church by Revd Elaine.
Speaking about her decision to be baptised, Cody said:
“I’m being baptised to turn a corner and find hope and faith. I’m doing it to be part of a new community, to forget the past and move on. It’s the start of a new chapter for me.”
The service was a relaxed, joyful and moving occasion.
One of Cody’s sons was at the service, and both boys are waiting on their own baptism.
The congregation included several people who regularly attend the weekly Community Cuppa at the church on Thursdays. They were delighted to witness this important step in Cody’s faith journey and to welcome her, together with three other people who were baptised that day, into the church family.
