👥Jackie recently took an important step in her faith journey by being confirmed, following a period of preparation alongside other candidates in Confirmation classes led by Revd Grace.

For Jackie, the decision to be confirmed was deeply personal. She describes her faith as an ongoing journey—one that she felt called to affirm publicly:

“I’m definitely being taken somewhere, and I wanted to confirm my faith and continue the journey.”

The Confirmation service took place on Sunday 22 March 2026, where Bishop David confirmed ten candidates in a service that Jackie remembers with great fondness.

She said:

“It was beautiful and so special.”

The day was filled with meaningful moments and unexpected joys. Jackie was touched by the kindness shown to her:

“I was overwhelmed by the kind words and cards given to me. I didn’t realise Confirmation cards were a thing! I will treasure them along with the candle, book and certificate presented to me.”

One of the most significant parts of the day was sharing it with her mum:

“I was over the moon that my mum attended the service, and I really valued her support on this special day.”

The celebrations continued after the service with a Bring & Share lunch, where Jackie contributed a homemade dish that proved to be a hit:

“I’m also pleased to say that Bishop David enjoyed my egg and bacon pie!”

Jackie’s story is a reminder that Confirmation is not just a single event, but a meaningful milestone within a much bigger journey of faith—one filled with community, encouragement, and moments of joy along the way.
