Sunday Celebration Ready To Reconnect?

Yes, some of us met together this morning, in the upper hall at St Petroc’s Parish Centre.

Claire gave a warm welcome and led a few relaxed question and answer games which gave the opportunity to share what we’d been up to since our last Sunday Celebration.

An added dimension was given to our prayers, as Claire demonstrated simple actions that can accompany the Lord’s Prayer. They were easy to learn and we were able to say the prayer together, with actions, to help us pray in a quiet and meaningful way! At a future celebration will do a similar thing with worship songs that have actions, so that even though we are not allowed to sing the songs, we can express the words with our bodies.

Barbara read from Romans 12:4-5,

“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”

We hope our Sunday Celebration will grow and be a strong group with different people expressing their parts in the one congregation. Several members were unable to attend today for various reasons but are likely to join us next time.

In the future we plan to incorporate a walk or a picnic in Priory Park, all socially distanced and weather dependent, of course!

Another idea is to give Sunday Celebration an online presence that shares reflections inspired from Bodmin Town and promotes how businesses, organisations and groups in the local community are celebration at this time.

Do join us on a Sunday morning at 11am in the upper hall of the Parish Centre.
