Rev Elaine Interviews Alfie & Robbie the Runner is Introduced

Three weeks along the "sermons" for Lent, we looked at "Staying on Track". We were introduced to Robbie the Runner. He was determined to finish the race and managed to avoid all the distractions along the way. Other characters in the story didn't manage to complete the race but Robbie did, as he just kept going. Claire's story was inspired by Hebrews 12:1-3 ".....let us run with perseverance the race that is set before use, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith ....." This linked to one of the worship songs we sang, "Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in his wonderful face. And the things of earth, will grow strangely dim, in the light of his glory and grace."

Alfie shared how he is staying on the path and how his faith and music are helping him. It was a cracking interview.

Rev Elaine lead our us in prayer and encouraged us to be silent in the presence of God. She said to relax and enjoy many moments with God, as this is what God longs for.
