The Bible Society has produced a free tool on their website. It’s brilliant. It gives succinct and useful information about each book in the Bible, 66 in total.

The Searchers will be selecting their first book from the Bible to read at home, looking up information on the Bible Society’s website and sharing ideas at our Monday night meeting on Zoom.

Here's the weblink to the Bible Book Club:

The information about each book is under the video.

Before we start our very own Bible Book Club, we are going to whiz through some of the 66 books, sharing our knowledge of what is inside each book and hearing one verse, from the whole book, that acts as a summary. The verses have been selected by Mike Nappa.

Here’s the verses from the book we looked at last night:

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Genesis 1:27 KJV

“I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery. You must not have any other god but me.” Exodus 20:2-3 NLT

"Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbour as yourself.” Leviticus 19:8 NIV

“God is not a man, that he might lie, or a son of man, that he might change his mind. Does he speak and not act, or promise and not fulfil?” Numbers 23:19 CSB

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” Deuteronomy 6:5 CSB

Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 ESV

Amazingly, William and Claire had similar choices to the verse’s Mike selected. Helen added a verse from Numbers 6:22-27 and Lindy chose Joshua 24:24.

A lovely introduction https://www.revitalyzemd.com to the book club and its purpose. The welcoming tone was especially nice. I’ve seen similar community-faith discussions on revitalyzemd. (revitalyzemd.), and they always encourage participation.

This was a lovely https://www.cygnetliving.com overview of the book club and its purpose. The sense of community really comes through. I’ve seen similar faith-based group reflections on a cygnetliving-style blog, and they always emphasize connection in a meaningful way.

A lovely overview https://discounttwo-wayradio.com of the book club and its purpose. It’s great to see learning and fellowship encouraged in this way. I recently read a community-driven article on a discounttwo-wayradio review site that shared a similar sense of connection.

Such a warm and welcoming update. It’s great to see https://paygration.com learning and discussion encouraged in a supportive environment. I read something similar about small group engagement on a paygration-based blog, and this post reflects that same sense of connection.
