Sunday Celebration Scout Celebration

At 11 o’clock this morning, St Petroc's held its first “Sunday Celebration”. Over a hundred people, both children and adults, attended the service, which started with a grand parade of the cross and flags to magnificent organ music. Alex, Marlie-May and Max updated our knowledge of the different sections within the scout group, what they do and what awards and badges they can collect.

Just as scouts celebrate their promises and beliefs so Christians celebrate their beliefs, heard today in a modern Celtic version of the ancient Apostle’s Creed.

We are pleased to say that the 3rd Bodmin Scout Group will be celebrating annually at St Petroc’s Church, in early October.

Thank you to everyone who attended the service today.

Future “Sunday Celebrations” include: 13 October Harvest Special; 20 October Sing for the Soul;

27 October God’s Big Story; 3 November Remembering All Souls.

If you would like your group, business or organisation to celebrate with us, please contact the Focal Minister at
